Tammy Grove-McClement is a Partner at the firm. Tammy grew up in the Grey Bruce area. Tammy completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts at Wilfrid Laurier University in 1996. She obtained her law degree from the University of Western Ontario in 2000. Tammy was called to the Bar in Ontario in 2002. Tammy articled with Harrison Pensa LLP, a general practice law firm in London, Ontario before joining McCall Dawson Osterberg and Wallace as an Associate Lawyer practicing insurance defence litigation with an emphasis on municipal defence work. Tammy has experience in all areas of litigation practice.
Tammy returned to the Grey Bruce area in 2005. Tammy worked in the Chesley area before joining the firm in 2006.
Tammy primarily practices in the areas of Municipal Law, Real Estate, Wills and Estates, Litigation and Corporate/Commercial Law.
Tammy is married with two children. Tammy sits on the Board of the Hanover Minor Hockey Association and is actively involved in her children’s competitive sports. Tammy enjoys running, biking and competing in obstacle races.
Brian Van De Vyvere was a Partner at the firm. Brian has been in practice since 1976. Brian provides the benefit of his years of experience working in a general practice law office. Brian primarily practices in real estate, wills and estates and corporate and commercial law.
Brian is married and resides with his spouse in Walkerton. He is actively involved with his children and his grandchildren.
Nicola Ty joined the firm as an associate lawyer in 2011. Nicola grew up in Windsor, Ontario. She attended the University of Windsor and completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology and graduated from the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law, in 2009. Nicola was actively involved in the Family Law Information Centre during her studies. Nicola articled at Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone in Windsor, Ontario. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2010.
Nicola commenced practicing law in the Grey Bruce area in 2010. Nicola’s areas of focus include family law, general litigation, real estate and wills.
Nicola has enjoyed learning about Bruce and Grey County. She has been involved with the Ontario Federation of University Women’s group in Hanover, Ontario. She has stood on the South Bruce Grey Health Centre Board of Directors and has assisted with the County Towne Players theatre group in Walkerton, Ontario.
Fiona Hamilton joined the firm as an associate lawyer in 2015. Fiona grew up in Southampton, Ontario before attending the University of Guelph. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts degree in English & Theatre Studies. Fiona graduated from the University of New Brunswick faculty of law in 2010.
Fiona articled in the City of Saint John and became a member of the Law Society of New Brunswick before returning to Bruce County with her husband. Fiona was called to the bar in Ontario in 2011. Fiona practices in the areas of corporate and commercial, employment, wills and estates, municipal law and real estate.
Fiona enjoys downhill skiing, mountain biking and reading.
Julia Fischer is an Partner at the firm. Julia grew up in Hanover, Ontario before attending McMaster University where she graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in History. Julia then graduated from the University of Western Ontario Faculty of Law in 2011 and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2012.
Julia primarily practices in the areas of Civil Litigation, Wills and Estates, Real Estate, Municipal Law, Provincial Offences and Criminal law.
Julia resides on a working farm with her husband and their two children. Julia enjoys horseback riding, biking, and playing competitive soccer.
Katherine Spensieri joined the firm as an associate lawyer in 2017. Katherine holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from York University and studied abroad in obtaining a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Buckingham in England in 2014. Notably, she also possesses two graduate degrees including a Master of Social Work from the University of Windsor and Master of Laws from York University. Katherine articled at Prost Associates in Midland, Ontario. She was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2017.
Prior to entering the field of law, Katherine completed social work internships acting as a Child Protection Worker at Peel Children’s Aid Society, and as a Clinical Social Worker, specializing in mental health, at Credit Valley Hospital.
While in law school, Katherine was a founding editorial board member and Editor-in-Chief of The Buckingham Student Law Review. She has since published many scholarly articles, including publications in the Canadian Family Law Quarterly and The Criminal Law Quarterly.
Katherine is deeply committed to effective advocacy and primarily practices in the areas Family Law, Criminal Law, Civil Litigation and Wills and Estates. Katherine is excited to be in Walkerton and to explore Bruce County.
